Originally serving the few tourists who stayed with them in their own home at a separate guest table, Don David and Rosita kept this tradition when they opened their restaurant, with a "Friendship Table" where visitors could meet and visit together. Although the table no longer exists, visitors find the restaurant itself as a great place to meet friends and talk about their travel experiences over good food.  Rosita’s staff is friendly, and serves delicious local dishes along with American and European foods. Nice surprises include Rosita’s wonderful desserts plus milkshakes and frozen fruit drinks and jungle teas.

For your lodging and accommodations this is a beautiful hotel and your best option. A great place and location for all of your activities in Peten and Tikal area. The hotel rooms are well cared for and most have at least a partial view of the lake. The grounds are lush and walkways are beautifully laid native rock. Each hotel room has a fan, and there are four air-conditioned rooms. The faucet water is safe, although most guests drink the provided free bottled water.  People tell us the food is excellent. Exotic Fruits are served when in season.
