---My wife and I are from Vancouver, Canada. We were here for a couple of nights. This place is amazing. Very friendly staff. Clean room, great food, well taken care of compound, beautiful setting. Well organized. I love this place. I definitely can visit again. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Tikal, Guatemala. Gracias ---Tesfaye and Nicole, Vancouver, Canada (July 2010)

---We stumbled across this hotel by chance and it turned out to be one of our favourites in Guatemala. The hotel is just amazing. We loved the topiary of the toucans. I loved the German bread. We even got our 5 min. boiled eggs for breakfast! What else can you ask for? Thank you to all the lovely staff and to Don David. We'll strongly recommend your place to other travellers. Gracias por todo ---Sandor (from Germany) and Mel (UK), November 2009

---My fourth time here - because of the clean rooms, clean floors, and especially the vegetarian options [in the restaurant]. Very important for me! Keep up the excellent work - you are a treasure un tesoro. I will return! ---Genelle Grant, Florida, USA (March 2009)

---Stayed for 10 days. Staff all wonderful and helpful. Trips arranged through the hotel all wonderful and informative. Thank you to Rosita, Kelsey, David and all the staff for a great stay. Would highly recommend to anyone. Muchas gracias! ---Laurie Ewing & Margaret Francis, Vancouver/Calgary Canada (January 2009)

When we finally convinced our tour guide/taxi driver that we wanted to stay in El Remate, not Flores, we were very happy that we didn't give in. This place is beautiful and well worth it. The gardens are wonderful, the staff was excellent and our room was clean. Thanks again, muchas gracias!--- Rachel and Ian, Oregon USA (March 2007)

---From first seeing this place on the internet, to the friendliness and responsiveness per e-mail and finally being here, it has been nothing but a pleasant experience. The facilities are perfect, the garden is gorgeous and the staff is friendly. Mayra and I liked it so much, we decided to stay an extra night. Our expectations were exceeded by far, even if they were high to begin with. Thanks for a wonderful time!--- Robin Boylan (July 2005)

---La Casa De Don David was great! I've been travelling for a long time and this was a nice, peaceful place to relax for four days. Everybody is so helpful, especially David himself. It made me feel at home. I loved the garden as well, the food was delicious, enjoyed the menu of the day. I hope more tourists will come and discover La Casa De Don David.--- Samantha Simon, Holland

---What a wonderful place...and and unforgettable time here! Thank you David for all your help and a great thank you to all your staff. Hope to see you all again!?!--- Charlotte and Tobias, Denmark (June 2004)

---What a terrific place to stay when visiting Tikal! We have certainly enjoyed our 3 days at La Casa. Very relaxing - the hammock in front of our door was an inspired decorating touch!! We also liked that La Casa was very "user friendly" with plenty of information and helpful suggestions about Tikal and other day trips. Hasta luego! -- Jillaine and Michael, Australia (May 2003)

--To everyone at La Casa De Don David: My friend and I have traveled extensively throughout Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and we hold this hotel, restaurant, and staff as one of the most excellent places to experience. From the moment we contacted "Don David" to inquire about lodging we were impressed. Don David's was quick to respond and helpful with giving us information on the area and more. When we actually arrived at the hotel we were so happy to see the staff...so polite and helpful. Then dinner - excellent. It was as if we entered a mom's kitchen and got this home cooked meal. We cannot say enough about the staff and their hospitality, but that is not all. The atmosphere is so tranquil and relaxing, not to mention exquisitely beautiful. Wow! We loved La Casa De Don David and highly recommend it to anyone visiting this area.--- Elizabeth M. and Karen Skrabanik (February 2002)
